When I first visited Mr. Raoul Arpin's bookstore, I realized the resources of architecture was flourishing. I kept on visiting Raoul's bookstore multiple times. Soon I found out that a lot of copies of pamphlets by J.J Rousseau. People were influenced with the idea of "Change". When we heard that people from the National Assembly by the Third Estate were taking actions for a revolution, we knew that something was going to happen. More and more people started to come in Raoul's bookstore, finding for actions to take with ideas of Rousseau.
After the news of troops trying to break apart the National Assembly, people took action and broke in the Bastille Prison for arms and weapons. The news of the influential documents in Raoul's copies of pamphlets reached the soldiers' commander. He ordered the troops to find out about the documents and take it away; however, this gave lots of ideas from those documents.
During the day, people realized that Raoul's bookstore was in danger. People started gathering ideas of ways to stop the fight. I thought we had to fight back, but Raoul's thoughts were that this would cause bigger conflicts. We decided to move all the important documents into a storage space near the shop. It took days to move all the documents we thought it must be protected. When we came back, the bookstore were empty. Robbed, everything was gone.
Raoul and I decided to stay out of trouble, if possible. The pressure between the National Assembly and the "Royal Guards" were just too much. We saw more and more people were getting involved, but Raoul and I did not have the courage to join and act for the National Assembly.

I was walking by the Romainville street looking for ideas for the new building I was assigned. The construction administrator asked me for ideas about the new building he was assigned. This was my time to show my skills and knowledge of Architecture. There lots of painting on the street but not any impressing ones. Then I saw the young artist named Joanna Chapelle's wheelbarrow. She drew imaginative landscapes, flowers and streets. It was fascinating, and it was perfect. I asked her if she can visit our project site with some ideas for buildings.
The next day, Ms. Chapelle visited our construction site with fresh, and vivid ideas. The manager was impressed by her work and got ourselves started on the work immediately. There were ideas getting ready to go and everyone was satisfied with this project. During the work flow, there were news about the King and Queen dressed in servants and got caught during the flee from France. People were shouting that they left their throne. My mind was rushing through thousands of thoughts. Will there be a bigger conflict? The future started to fear me of what might happen.

I feared the future but there were still thoughts about needs of change. Parts of my body just wanted to join the army but my legs didn't let me. My legs couldn't stand the weight whenever I saw a scene of conflict I just couldn't stand it. But this day was different. I joined a medium size army under the command of a man named Napoleon Bonaparte. He wanted to show and prove to gain the glory. When I first visited the army, I met a guy named Guillaume Rousseau. He was also scared like me, but he was one of the person who were also desperate of change. He was a bit younger than me, but we became closer as we went through the day in the army.
Around October, we were facing the royalists on the National Convention. We were told to defend the delegate, but we did not know we had to use violence. The commander shouted "FIRE!" but my fingers were not moving. Guillaume and I were frozen and our ears just ringing during the cannonade. My face became whiter and whiter and eventually had to fire. That night, I felt horrible. It felt like was gonna get beheaded for murder. I left the army right after that day and now I have to live through the day without being able to forget that incident.
